🔥 BEYOND THE ROOTS FUSION BACHATA WEEKENDER 🔥 Berra & Reyes (Spain) + Khalid & Amanda (Toronto) October 2–4, 2026 · Baza Dance Studios, 1304 Seymour Street Three days. Two amazing teaching couples. One weekend exploring the full range of bachata — from its traditional roots all the way through to BachaZouk — plus two nights of social dancing. We're bringing Berra & Reyes in from Seville and Khalid & Amanda from Toronto for a weekend built on real technique, real connection, and a whole lot of dancing. THE ARTISTS 🇪🇸 BERRA & REYES — Seville, Spain World champions, instructors, and the driving force behind E-Motion Dance Studio in Seville. Berra and Reyes teach from a strong bachata technical foundation, working across the dance's many styles and fusions with a particular focus on Sensual and Traditional bachata. Their approach blends technique, musicality, expression, and styling — the goal being not just cleaner dancing, but your own identity on the floor. Berra is the Director and Lead Instructor at E-Motion, a World Champion in both Improvisation (Couples) and the Groups category, and a multiple-time finalist across a range of competitions. He also organizes the E-Motion Sevilla Bachata Congress. Reyes is a three-time World Champion — Couples, Groups, and Duos — and a Solo category finalist. Alongside her work at E-Motion, she holds a degree in Contemporary Dance from the Professional Conservatory of Dance of Seville. Together they bring technical precision, musicality, and real versatility to every room they teach in. 🇨🇦 KHALID & AMANDA — Toronto, Canada Partner dance instructors specializing in BachaZouk, with technical foundations in both Bachata and Zouk. Khalid and Amanda have spent years building Toronto's BachaZouk community around one idea: that great dancing is safe, intentional, and grounded in real technique. They're known for smooth connection and an obsessive eye for detail — clean pathways, safe entries and exits, and equal development for leads and follows. Expect a room where curiosity is welcome, precision is the standard, and everyone leaves dancing better than they arrived. 🌟 ADVANCED TRACK — GROWTH & REFINEMENT Limited spots · Must Register with a Partner Our Advanced workshops are designed for dancers ready to refine their musical awareness, control, and clarity within bachata. These sessions are not about flashy tricks. No problem. The Intermediate-level classes will still give you huge value and clear tools to grow. The Advanced tracks go into more depth with connection and movement - register with a Partner and stay with your Partner for the Advanced track. 🎫 Building your weekend: Purchase a Full Intermediate Track pass and get access to the Socials.
