About
Sunday Afternoon Salsa & Bachata at Robson Square is a free community salsa bachata dance event in downtown Vancouver, organized by Baza Dance Society. The events were originally created in 2006 with fellow salsa dancer Drew Matlow (co-organizer of the first two seasons). From 2008 to 2021, Jennifer and Stephen Dancey were the sole organizers, with Baza becoming co-hosts of the event in 2022. As the Dancey's move on to other ventures, Wayne and Kristal Barbaza and the Baza team are your event hosts from 2026 onwards. Volunteers from Vancouverβs salsa bachata dance community help run the events every Sunday.

The expenses include: Rental of the Robson Square facility, Additional rental cost for the secure bag check room, Additional fees to have the washrooms open, Janitorial and cleaning, Sound system for the event, Staff and supplies
